The Ninja Professional Blender BL610 features a sleek design and outstanding performance with 1000 watts of professional power and Total Crushing Technology.
This Ninja blender does pulverizes leafy greens, frozen fruit, and hard vegetables without skipping a beat. Having multiples blades means there is no need for a stir stick. Food pieces do not get stuck and there is no need to stop and stir.
With a 1000-watt motor, this blender is nearly as powerful as a Vitamix (at 1380 watts) but at a fraction of the price. Unlike most blenders, Ninja’s powerful multiple blades rotate through the food in several layers instead of only at the bottom. The Capacity is generous at 72oz or 9cups, which means you can make multiple servings at the same time.
Ice crushing capability deserves a special mention. The fist time I saw the Ninja Professional BL610 was when a friend made blended frozen margaritas and served them as a pre-dinner drink. The ice was perfectly smooth, flavor was fresh and crisp, the tartness of lime absolutely delicious. And it seemed to take only a few seconds in the blender.
Mess and cleanup
Let’s talk about mess and clean up. There is a locking lid which prevents any leaks or splashes. The lid has a spout for easy pouring. The well thought-out design integrates safety as well as usability. Most users report easy clean up. The blades come out for cleaning and the jar is quick to rinse. You do have to be careful while washing the blades as they are very sharp (Which is what we want!).
What about the noise?
All blenders are loud and there is no napping on the couch for those with sensitive ears while a smoothie is being made nearby! Ninja Professional Blender BL610 is noisy but not as noisy as some others on the market. I would rate the noise level as medium.
Glass or plastic jar?
There is a lot of debate and preferences out there on whether a glass jar or a plastic jar is better. Glass is heavy and breakable while plastic may contain BPA and other chemicals. This Ninja is constructed of ruggedized plastic and a BPA free jar. It feels substantial and not cheap while being lightweight, easy to move, and unlikely to damage if dropped.
