Here at Kitchen Hacker, we are all about thorough research and honest advice about products that will save you time and money while producing fabulous results!

While you may see headlines about appliances such as the latest Vitamix or Blentec, it turns out you don’t need to spend hundreds to get a decent blender. Sure, those top of the line blenders are amazing, but can similar results be produced by a less expensive device? According to our extensive research and personal testing the answer is YES! In fact, we found several great options in our search for the best blender under 100 dollars.

There are a few factors to consider in purchasing a new blender:

  • How will you use your blender?
    • Blend smoothies
    • Crush nuts or hard vegetables
    • Purée soups or baby food
    • Stir or mix liquids
    • Thin batters
    • Blend dressings and soft foods
  • Ice crushing capability
    • Not all blenders have the ability to crush ice.  If the blender has this capability, it is usually listed as a specific feature.
  • Blender Size
    • Single Serve OR
    • Larger size with ability to make multiple servings at a time
  • Noise Level
    • In general, blenders are loud.  If you are sensitive to noise, see our notes below.  We review user reports for noise levels of specific models.

All of the blenders on our list can be used to make green smoothies, puree soups, and crush ice in frozen beverages without skipping a beat. For many consumers, this is more than enough.

Best Blender under 100 dollars: Are there cheap blenders, such as under $50 worth considering?

Unfortunately, we can’t recommend any blenders in the lower budget category.  We evaluated many contenders in the $25-$50 range.  The difference between the high and low end blenders is power of the motor, ability to process smoother textures, and long-term durability.  The biggest complaints we’ve found about cheap blenders are as follows: leaving chunks of vegetables un-processed, difficulty crushing ice or frozen fruit, motors burning out after a few months, and jars cracking or leaking.  We will certainly keep looking and will update this page if we find a great budget blender.
